Shaping Schiphol

Creating enthusiasm for digital innovation through play.

For the second year in a row, we participated in the ‘Digital Week’ to get employees excited about digital technology. This time we created a Digital Discovery Battle. This battle aims to increase awareness, desire and the knowledge level around digital technology.

Approach

In cooperation with Schiphol, a storyline was devised in which Schiphol employees take a trip around the world: The Digital Discovery Battle. In different parts of the world they learned about relevant technology and working methods. Through gamification, participants were stimulated to acquire new knowledge as quickly as possible, and to apply it directly in an educational game.

Result

Due to the success of the Digital Escape Room the year before, the Digital Discovery Battle was a big crowd pleaser. More than 25 rounds were played with more than 200 participants. This resulted in many enthusiastic responses! The Digital Discovery Battle has been saved, and can be permanently used in the education program run bySchiphol and related organizations.
