Together towards a digitally innovative region

To create more social and economic value from digital technology, the Drechtsteden region, the Economic Board Drechtsteden and VitrumNet, under the banner of Digital Mainport, want ecosystem parties to work together to increase the innovation power in the region.

Approach

Based on internal and external research, we have structured and fleshed out how different parties in the ecosystem can use digital technology to create social and economic value for the Drechtsteden region. By bringing different parties together from the beginning, we established the ambition of the Digital Mainport. Then, based on document study, workingsessions and interviews with parties inside and outside the region, we structured and further defined the role of the Digital Mainport.

Result

Based on our research, it became clear how various parties from the ecosystem can ensure that value can be created for the region through cooperation. We also established the (digital) preconditions that must be met to be successful.
