Digital trendmagazine

Developing a digital trend magazine for all employees. 

As grid operator, Enexis is responsible for the construction and maintenance of the gas and electricity grid in the Netherlands. The company thus plays an important role in the energy transition. They ensure that the energy network remains reliable and affordable in the future. In doing so, they face major challenges: major expansions of the infrastructure, training of employees and the effective use of data and technology to support this transition. Digitalization is therefore indispensable and helps Enexis to work smarter and more efficiently, reduce risks and control costs.

 

To include employees in the various digital developments and to give them a better idea of the inspiring projects already running within Enexis, we have published an online trend magazine together with Enexis. This magazine provides insight into four important digital developments: Extended Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Data-driven working and Digital Employee Fitness.

 

Approach

We helped Enexis create a digital trend magazine for its employees. We started with workshops in which we gathered the most important developments, relevant technologies and internal projects together with the Enexis team. This formed the basis of the content of the magazine we worked on together with more than 40 colleagues. We interviewed employees involved in these projects and organized filming days to fill the magazine with vivid images and stories. We also conducted desk research to supplement the internal stories with interesting facts, essential knowledge about these technologies and applications, and inspiring examples from other organizations. To ensure that the information does not remain just theory, the magazine has interactive sections that allow employees to get started directly themselves. Of course, it would be a shame if such a beautiful magazine were only a one-time publication. That is why we set up an activation campaign, so that it has a real impact within the organization.

Result

The result is a lively and accessible trend magazine that actively involves employees in the digital developments and motivates them to delve into the digital themes. An accessible way to get acquainted with the digital vision of Enexis. By making the connection between the digitalization strategy, technological developments and daily work, the magazine strengthens employee involvement in these developments. It offers practical tips and inspiring examples of how digital technologies are actually applied.

The trend magazine is visually appealing, measurable and responsive on any device. Many compliments followed after the launch. For example, colleagues thought it was enjoyable to read, looked very cool, with strong content and enough call-to-actions. It was created on a user-friendly platform that allows the interactive content to be modified or supplemented as quickly as technology evolves.
